This is a very personal drawing to me, in a lot of ways.

I’ve gone through some pretty hard things in my life and truth is I am lucky to be here. 6 years ago I went through an awful experience that was to change my life forever. It has definitely made me feel more appreciative of the things I have and the possibilities given to me. You have to make the best of what you have and I truly believe there is a purpose of everything. Most of the time you don’t realise it when you go through it but as time goes by you go back and reflect on things in a different way. It’s one of the things I appreciate the most about getting older.

This is a reminder to myself - to work harder, to reach my goals and to do what I want and love so much.
Always to follow my dreams.

That is what this drawing symbolises to me - the goodbye of a past as I know it.
I know there will always be tears but I think that the moment you start accepting things and don’t try and go back in your thoughts, trying to think how life would have been different, in a way it sets you free.
