I had a Dark Fairy contest on my site last year, and this is the result.

I very much fell for the photo of the girl, Debbie. There were just something about it, her expression, the clothing. She was pretty much perfect for what I had in mind.
I very much enjoyed creating her, I feel my fairy ended up with just the right expression. The girl in my drawing kind of makes me think of a celebrity but I won't tell who, perhaps some of you will say in a comment

I am a writer. On occasion, I feel the desire to browse the intertubes for pictures to get inspiration for a short piece. While doing so on Deviantart, I found this picture, and got inspired.
[link] It led to this story, which, as you can see, has been published.
