It was about time to do a new fairy. I wanted to try and go really dark this time with my colour pencils, which seem to be my weak spot with this medium.
I very much enjoyed creating her. It's based on a photo of the lovely Evangeline Lilly. I find her beautiful and delicate, with that natural beauty. I gave her red brown hair though her dark brown is beautiful on her. This drawing was much work and for some reason I found it rather difficult to just do what I felt like on this one. Maybe because I had this perfect image in my head, which I didn't feel I could get down to paper afterall.
My scanner wasn't very nice on the colours, I had to correct them as much as I could in photoshop but still it lacks the life of the colours somehow, like it lost it's warmth.
