I have wanted to do some very simple, yet strong drawings like I did in spring 2006. I felt the portraits I did at that time had something special, maybe because they represented something I was going through at the time.
I feel very happy with this one as it got the feeling I was hoping for. I used this girl as model for my drawing: [link] It's not suppose to look exactly like her but I felt she had the right features for my drawing. She has something special and different. One thing I learned while making this drawing is how hard it is creating hands in very few lines. It makes such a big difference where the shading is placed. Want to know what I hate? I hate those stupid statistic signatures, they absolutely make me want to rip my hair out.
I can see in this one, a girl after the act....
Act being, emotions got the best of her and she threw a temper fit, now the after math of someone there in front of her, making her realize what she has done and is now making her feel ashamed of it. By her gestures of covering herself but yet peeking to see if maybe they are not that disgusted with her actions.
