The girl with the butterfly
This has been my project the past days. I basically haven't done much else as I was so into the drawing. Some of you might remember my previous versions of this idea and me saying I would do a colour version of it eventually. You can see the other versions here: [link] and here: [link] I worked really hard on going dark and contrasted in this one. Looking at most of my pastel drawings they are all rather light so I thought I would really go dark this time as I sort of did with Cry your heart out. I feel happy with how the drawing turned out, mainly because this image has a meaning to me, probably why I did 3 versions of it. I feel I managed to go dark in the shading. It was kind of hard for me to keep building all the darker layers as I would normally have stopped at a lighter stage. I am happy I kept making it darker as it brought a whole other depth to the drawing.
