She got him...
I wanted to create something dark with the vampire theme and this is the result. I worked a lot on getting the right expression to show on her face. I couldn't decide whether to make her blond or black haired so I decided to give her black stripes. I tried to give him a warmer glow to his skin in contrast to her pale skin. The original has a more blue/grey tone to it but the scanner made it appear a bit more natural but I still feel she got a pale look to her. I want to experiment much more with skin tones in colour, I felt quite happy with the drawings I did in November last year but I suddenly needed to do black and white and put the colours a bit behind. I seem to have periods where I do either black and white. Made with pastels and soft charcoal. 40x30 cm/16x12"  Prints available here: [link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
