Artist's Comments
The past week I have been sick with a flue, been in my bed a lot of days feeling weak. I couldn't do much else but just lie around. I wish I could have used the time for drawing but I counldn't concentrate for long. Things are finally getting better now and I did this drawing during the weekend. I feel quite please with it. It's been a while since I did a pure colour pencil drawings and I enjoyed it very much.

Anyway, the picture is very pretty. She does have that sense of innocence, due to the pose; it looks like she's a child there, as if trying to keep from danger or something. It's very beautiful.
