This is one of the biggest drawings I have done. It took me a very long time to complete as I wanted it to be just as I had imagined. I have wanted to do this drawing for a long time, since January but I didn't quite have the passion to do it as I have to be in a certain mood to do a big colour drawing like this.
I really like the idea of sitting on the moon, as unrealistic as it is, it's so dreamy... I think there is something really freeing and beautiful about the thought. I wanted her to look like she is at peace, just this inner peace of a sort. It's hard to put the right words to it, I hope the drawing can speak for itself.
I have to admit I feel proud the drawing, I feel I achieved and learned a lot in the process.

I used this photo as the base of my girl: [link] I feel in love with the dress the moment I saw it and knew I had to use it for my drawing.

It's made with pastel and colour pencils.
