This drawing is inspired by a conversion I overheard. A large girl was talking about how a pretty girl she knew was so sad and miserable. She had tried committing suicide, even though she was so pretty and skinny. She seemed suprised as she said it.
It made me kind of think about how people see one another. One is certain, skinny(as a lot see as "perfect") people can be just as sad and miserable. Regardless of how you look there'll always be something to hold yourself up against and measure yourself to.
Pretty hurts too...

I wanted to create something simple, with the focus on her eyes. I really like 'simple' these days.

Thanks to :iconlady-angela: for the beautiful reference: [link]

This will blow your mind.
Watch this all the way to the end
and no longer be another sheep in the herd.
I just love how you actually feel what you draw- you can see it so perfectly done. I don't know how you do it, I'm willing to learn it. I defiantly love the focus of the eye (you did that well, too!) And the perspective :)

Defiantly agree with the meaning, though. Beauty doesn't guarateen happiness. I guess acceptance guarateens happiness.

The paradox of life is that throughout it you create your own prison by how you perceive reality... and then try to escape from it...
