During summertime I had a poll at my website on which star to draw and Rihanna won. I wanted to create something special giving her big dreamy hair as I think it suits her and her cute look.
She's definitely a beautiful and talented singer, my favourite songs are Rehab and Cry, both such emotional songs. Umbrella has a special meaning to me as it reminds me of a special time of my life ♥
I went very dark with her hair and skin tone to give the drawing a lot of depth. She wasn't easy to draw but I took my time with it as I wanted it to be a good and a unique drawing. It's been in progress for some months.

Made with Faber Castell soft charcoal. It was nice to work in charcoal again, as it's been a while.

It somehow reminds me of my A Dreamgirl, which is still one of my favourite star drawings I have done: [link]

SEDUCTION :) I love it.. Wonderful Job Zindy.

Her lips are soo lucious.. and hair.. done soo well. The dark tones throughout this entire drawing make her eyes pop even more. Such a wonderful drawing yet again.

I'm probably one of the few people who prefer Rihanna with the short hair do she had on the album cover of Good Girl Gone Bad. It also was the album that got me hooked on Rihanna. Her older CDs are just too pop-ish for her voice I think (though I do like SOS and Unfaithful). She looks too much like every other pop singer with her long hair, in my opinion.

I love how you drew the face. It looks just like her.
