Strengthening Tears

Sometimes we go through things in life which is really hard but unavoidable. Even though we cry tears it somehow makes us stronger and more prepared for future things.
I've had my shares of these and I am sure most of you have too.

I used Robin as my model, because ever since I saw the photo I knew I wanted to use it in a drawing, though my drawing does not resemble her completely I wanted to catch the feeling. Something about her expression, something hurtful but brave.

This drawing is dedicated to all of you who are going through some tough times at the moment.

Made with soft pastels. I chose to do the drawing in some pale earth colours to fit the mood.
