The Sungirl

This was actually an old test drawing, from back in summer 2006 when I had just bought my Supracolour (colourpencils). They didn't work too well with this smooth paper I am normally using. However, I brought the drawing with me when visiting my family last weekend and finished it. I wanted it to be very sunny and joyful, thought the weather here in Denmark is nothing but sunny.

It's based on my beautiful girl friend, Andy. I took a bunch of photos last year and some of them turned out perfect for some drawings. The flowers are inspired by the beautiful sunflowers but are suppose to be a more free version of them. They fit well with the happy theme I think+ it's a favourite flower of the girl on the picture as well.
